The National Exchange Club is the only service organization exclusively serving communities in the United States. More than 650 local clubs throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico provide individuals with opportunities to use their time and talents to benefit their local communities and the country as a whole. Exchange’s Core Values are family, community, and country.
Through the Programs of Service – Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs – members support activities that benefit youth, promote pride in our country, and honor military and public service providers, to name a few. Exchange’s National Project is the prevention of child abuse.
Exchange was founded March 27, 1911, in Detroit, MI, by a group of business executives who wanted simply to exchange ideas. Those ideas grew and were shared, and have resulted in innumerable benefits to the nation.
Currently, Exchange has nearly 20,000 members in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The organization’s National Headquarters, located in Toledo, OH, acts as a resource to local-level clubs and its members.

wear blue day during month of april - prevent child abuse
Exchange, America’s Premier Service Club, is introducing a nationwide effort to increase awareness about the Prevention of Child Abuse, by inviting the public to join its “Blue Mondays” initiative and wear blue every Monday in April in observance of this critical issue.
The Blue Ribbon symbolizes more than 3 million children who are reported to Child Protective Services each year as being abused or neglected throughout the United States.
“We want everyone to stand with us and wear blue on Mondays in April to create greater public awareness of this tragic problem, and to do what they can to make a difference in the lives of children and families,” said Sid Mobley, National Exchange Club President. Locally, the Exchange Club of North Chicago is participating in the Blue Mondays observance.

EXCHANGE CLUB OF NORTH CHICAGO PLANTS PINWHEEL GARDEN
IN SUPPORT OF CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
One of our Exchange Club of North Chicago members, Kevin Stevens along with his daughter and friend did an awesome job this month planting our annual pinwheel garden to prepare for the upcoming dedication at the NC City Hall. We’re asking the members to wear blue on Mondays throughout the month of April and take a selfie to submit to our PR team to post showing your commitment to bringing awareness during National Prevention of Child Abuse month. The Blue Pinwheels Garden is planted to reflect the bright future all children deserve. For additional information please email jonesstella74@yahoo.com.
